Enroll in our January 5th, 2012 class from 6pm-8pm on Thursday nights.
You will learn how communication skills help make a relationship stronger and begin to take ownership of your choices, reactions and actions.
Through reflections we will explore the skills necessary to recognize the opportunities in conflict and manage it in a way that strengthens relationships rather than tearing them down. This class will address communication skills, conflict skills, how to fight fair, defense mechanisms and how to manage anger without hurting others.
After you complete this course, you will have the capability to:
- get your point across instead of struggling to be heard
- Identify what your needs are in relationships and find ways to get your needs met
- Effectively communicate the core emotions that underlie your anger
- Identify different conflict styles and recognize your own
- Identify how you are contributing to a cycle of drama in your life
- Explore your reactive behavior and how to deescalate your anger.
