INSTRUCTOR TRAINING PROGRAM
Our purpose is to nurture competent and empowered instructors to inspire behavior change in clients and achieve excellence in delivery of The Conflict Center curriculum.
Become part of a growing community of individuals committed to promoting healthy and peaceful ways of handling anger and conflict. If you are interested in teaching youth and/or adult classes in anger and conflict management please contact us to participate in the following 6-stage training program:

Attend a 6-week adult anger and conflict management
skills class.* -
Attend a 16- hour Train the Trainer weekend workshop
offered quarterly.* -
Obsserve a 6 or 8 week class series to become more aware of the clients personal experience with anger and conflict.

Co-teach a 6 or 8 week class series with an experienced volunteer instructor or staff member to learn how to organize the materials, interact with participants and respond to
participant questions. -
Teach an entire 6 or 8 week class series with observation by an experienced teacher.

Commit to teach an entire 6 or 8 week
class series independently.
Please note that at the end of each stage individuals are given feedback on their ability to move forward as a trained instructor. Some stages include periodic self-evaluations. In the event an instructor my need additional exposure to the material or teaching experience, they will be asked to repeat one or several of the stages to gain greater confidence and expertise. This training requires a minimum of 2 semesters or 1 year commitment.
*The anger management class and Train-the Trainer workshop provide an option for payment including the possibility of “earning back” a portion of the fees by agreeing to complete the 6-stage training program. Fees are waived for students completing internship requirements.
