CONFLICT
AND ANGER MANAGEMENT FOR ADULTS (this meets court requirements)
Conflict and Anger are a part of today’s world. Whether
in the home, in the work place, or in general life, adults are
faced daily with opportunities to manage this conflict. Many have
never been taught how to effectively manage and channel this anger
towards a positive goal. Designed for men and women over the age
of 18, this class provides the skills necessary to not only recognize
conflict and anger, but to manage it in a way that strengthens
and builds relationships, rather than tearing them down. Course
topics included are: problem-solving strategies, ways to handle
difficult people, fair fighting, and much more. the physical signs
of anger, anger awareness, 21 ways to de-escalate anger, passive/aggressive/assertive
behavior and much more. This class runs for 6 weeks.
Adults that complete this course will
be able to:

Critical Decision
Making & Emotional Intelligence Skills for teens:
for a total of 8 weeks of class.
Critical Decision Making:
Youth today are faced with more challenges than ever before, and
at much younger ages. Designed for youth ages 11-18, Critical
Decision Making is a skills-based curriculum specifically tailored
to address their concerns and difficulties around making healthy
decisions for themselves. This 6 weeks class covers such topics
as: the decision making process, recognizing and weighing consequences,
communication skills, types of power, conflict management, handling
authority, and much more. Parent/guardian attendance is required
on the 3rd and 5th nights of the class. This class is grouped
according to age: 11-14 years old and 15-18 years old.
Youth that complete this course will be able to:

Identify multiple choices for any one decision

Consider potential positive and negative consequences
of these choices

Stop and think before acting

Communicate their needs, wants and feelings
in a healthy and productive way

Problem solve using the 6-step method

Understand the difference between passive,
aggressive and assertive uses of power
Emotional Intelligence Skills for Teens:
Everyone experiences strong emotions like anger, but many have never
been taught to manage their emotions in healthy and productive ways.
Designed for youth ages 11-18, Emotional Intelligence Skills is
a skills-based curriculum designed to teach teens how to not only
recognize their emotions (specifically their anger), but also how
to manage it in non-violent ways. This 6 week course covers such
topics as: the positive and negative consequences of anger, personal
anger history, fair fighting, triggers and cool-downs, problem solving,
and much more. Parent/guardian attendance is required the 3rd and
5th nights of the series. This class is grouped according to age:
11-14 year olds and 15-18 year olds.
