Community Outreach Assistant

Purpose:

Assist staff in sharing and promoting the important work of community outreach. Help support the programs, projects, and special events of The Conflict Center (TCC).

Activities:

  • Assist at community fairs and activities
  • Assist with community outreach filing and record keeping
  • Deliver flyers to community locations
  • Communicate and coordinate with community representatives
  • Assist with mailings, meetings and neighborhood projects

Qualifications:

This outgoing volunteer may be interested in North Denver and other City of Denver neighborhoods. They must be self-motivated and enjoy building community relationships.

Training:

Two training sessions are offered on conflict management and anger management. Specific task training with Community Outreach Coordinator.

Time Frame:

Two hours per week to start. Flexible hours, to be determined.

Sites:

The Conflict Center, Northwest Denver and other neighborhoods

Supervision:

Laura Naranjo, Community Outreach Coordinator
