Peace Poems

Peace Rap by Pearl and Maggie

One night in the city of Denver
There was a man who had a bad temper
He got in a fight
With a man twice his height
Then he decided he’d try The Conflict Center.

On a whim he registered for a class
Thinking maybe we could save his ass
The next thing he knew
He had learned something … or two
And decided that first fight was his last.

We all deal with great stress and great strife
Conflict is just part of life
So for twenty years
We’ve lent our ears
And our skills to make violence less rife

Still not everyone knows that we’re here
Though we’ve been teaching peace year after year
So, hey, let’s spread the word
Let’s say, “haven’t you heard!?!”
Then one day we’ll all live with less fear.

Haiku on Marketing conflict

Marketing conflict
To those who are confrontive
Can be tentative (Brenda)

To change our planet
Knowledge is necessary
We must spread the word
How will people know?
Our services we must show
The word must be told
Good luck being known
Without marketing, yeah right
We just need the tools (Lorena)

Conflict management
Skills everybody needs
For a peaceful world
We have tools for peace
We need tools for marketing
Help us spread the word (Ronnie)

Cherish blessed peace
That comes when hate has been stilled
Spread the message now! (Selene)
