The Conflict Center is hosting a “Circles of Conversation” Dialogue on the topic of Immigration’s Impact- The Costs of Crossing Borders. Today more than ever, we need to. Have significant conversations on substantive issues, Hear and digest ideas that are different from our own, consider together issues that matter in our lives, and enhance our abilities to talk and think more deeply about critical issues we face. The Dialogue takes place July 16th at the Daniels Fund Offices.

Why They Kill (book review)

When we hear of stunning and horrific acts of violence, the tendency is often to explain it as “senseless,” “random,” and “inexplicable.” But if we believe these descriptions, then we also have to accept that violence can’t be predicted or prevented.

A Perfect Day for Garden Tour

The 2007 Enchanted Gardens of Northwest Denver Garden Tour, which took place on Saturday, June 9th, offered strikingly unique and beautiful sights and sounds at every turn. For instance, one may have spotted a ribbiting bull frog resting beside a pond filled with lilly pads, turtles and koi. (More...)

Wine for Peace      

Please join us for a new neighborhood event to benefit The Conflict Center. On Saturday, July 28, the Northstar Brewery will host the Wine of Peace Event and Art Auction from 4:00 to 7:00 pm. Come and check out this new neighborhood brew pub at 3200 Tejon Street. A wide variety of art will be available for purchase through silent auction. Tickets are $25 per person and include wine tasting and appetizers and can be purchased at Northstar or The Conflict Center. We look forward to seeing you there.

Ever Needed a Vacation with your Vacation

Remember that there is both good and bad stress associated with vacation time.
