We Invite You to Read our Annual Report

The art and science of peacemaking is alive and well at The Conflict Center. Everyday we see proof from our program evaluations and hear amazing stories from our participants about how children and adults are learning and applying new skills to create more peaceful and productive families, schools and work places. Here is how a principal of one high school sums up the impact in his school:

“Teachers are learning how to use restorative justice practices to hold students accountable and build community in the classroom and wider school community. The skills and practices empower youth to do their own problem-solving when having conflicts. The restorative process gives language, expectation of respect, accountability, empathy and responsibility to all members of the school community. Students are learning social and emotional skills that positively affect their academic success.”

We hear these stories of success from every population we serve as well as seeing statistically significant results on pre/post surveys and weekly class evaluations with youth and adults who attend our skill building classes. 2008 was a very productive year, we invite you to read our 2008 ANNUAL REPORT.
