New
Approach for Solutions
New times
require new measures. We have decided to take a new approach with Solutions,
our e-newsletter. You will notice the changes progressively: last issue
we launched a new design for our on-line version. In the future you
will receive Solutions on a monthly basis to keep you updated on internal
news and events at The Conflict Center. Quarterly, you will receive
an extended version with articles to help better manage conflicts that
help foster positive human relationships written by our expert staff
and collaborators. The new format will have fixed sections to cover
a variety of themes
We hope
this new format will be informative and user friendly. Please take a
few moments to read this issue and find out all the latest news from
The Conflict Center. We invite you to tell us what you think and to
provide feedback and suggestions. We look forward to hearing from you.

By Diana
Higuera
Our first
Reading for Peace event in partnership with Barnes and Noble West
on Saturday, September 27 was a total success! About 50 elementary
school children participated in Peace Day craft activities, making
talking sticks and feelings flowers while improving their communication
and self-expression skills. Kids also enjoyed peace stories with their
parents, and Clifford the Big Red Dog made a special appearance to
entertain the whole family.
