What are your hobbies? Dancing, reading, cooking, learning, outdoor activities, and spending time with my two amazing daughters.
What are your secret talents? I’m a great dancer, trained speech and debate coach, and have been told I am invaluable at assisting women in pregnancy, labor and nursing.
What is your taste in music? As long as it has a beat I can dance to, then I love it!
What is your favorite genre of movies? (Comedy/Romance/Suspense/Action/Horror) Comedy.
What is your favorite color? A three way tie between red, yellow and green.
What was the best vacation you’ve ever had? Being snowed in during our two week Christmas vacation while we lived on three acres in rural Colorado. Our close friends were visiting from New York during the winter snow storm of 2006. We spent a solid week sledding, snow boarding, hiking and cooking delicious heart warming food.
If you could have a luncheon with any three people (real or fictitious, from any time period, dead or alive), which three people would you choose and why? Gandhi, Martin Luther King Jr., and a toss up between Maya Angelou or bell hooks.
What is your most cherished childhood memory? Spending the summers on the shores of Lake Tahoe with my family.
If given complete freedom to start a fresh, what profession would you choose and why? After attending the Feminist Majority Leadership Institute in Washington DC, I would have stayed to pursue an internship at NOW or the FMLA and continued on into the world of activism, politics, and law. |

Occupations you wanted to be when you were a kid? Teacher, Speech Pathologist, Actress, Dancer and Broadcaster.
What makes your angry? How do you overcome your anger? Seeing injustice happening to those unable to protect themselves, especially children. I overcome my anger by living life with love and acceptance, awareness raising and activism, and through the amazing work we do at The Conflict Center.
What is your favorite place on Earth? A tie between Lake Tahoe and Catalina Island.
What is your favorite quote? “Be the change you wish to see in the world” Gandhi
Tell us something you have learned from a child. To laugh out loud, to learn with curiosity, and to see humanity and love in all of life.
If you could visit a time in history what would that be? I would return to the day that my children were born to observe the beauty of life, of love, and complete surrender.
What do you want to be known for? I want to be known as a revolutionary within my generation by establishing a unique perspective between the Feminist movement and the new generation of parenting. I want to be known as an inspiring strong woman, a loving and encouraging mother, and bold and courageous peace maker.
