TCC Wishes Pierce Green All the Best! By Salma Shukri |
|
Thomas Merton once wrote, “We must make the choices that enable us to fulfill the deepest capacities of our real selves”. For one of our staff members, the time to make that choice has come. Pierce Green is leaving The Conflict Center in pursuit of “fulfilling the deepest capacity” of himself. Pierce is returning to Austin, Texas where he is from to start a private practice with his newly earned license in Professional Counseling. We will miss him, but wish him much success and a sense of fulfillment.
Pierce has been working at The Conflict Center for over two and a half years and has contributed to the growth of The Conflict Center in several ways. He has been responsible for coordinating all of the classes offered on-site, providing leadership to ensure that all program curricula is uniform, coherent and user-friendly. Furthermore, he has updated, strengthened and standardized the curricula used for those classes allowing TCC to utilize validated evaluation tools to asses the impact that these classes have on the participants. TCC has also benefited from the standardization of the curricula by successfully using well-trained volunteers, interns and contractors in teaching these curricula. |

This has helped us reduce our costs while serving more customers and clients each year.
Pierce has also been a popular and effective presenter during his time as a trainer. He is an entertaining story-teller who engages and captivates his audiences. He came to us with a lengthy history of classroom teaching and has used those well-honed skills to make a difference in the lives of our customers and clients.
Pierce has also played a big part in building a very successful and thriving team culture with the staff at TCC, and we will miss his presence and contributions greatly.
