What are your hobbies? Sewing, cooking, reading, writing, watching movies, visiting with friends

Which television character do you feel resembles you most? Lisa Simpson, for her intelligence, her introspective and spiritual nature, and her dedication to making the world a better place.

What was the best vacation you’ve ever had? Going to the Bahamas with my husband, sister and brother-in-law.
If you could have a luncheon with any three people (real or fictitious, from any time period, dead or alive), which three people would you choose and why? The Buddha, Albert Einstein, and Professor Dumbledore. I would like to hear the Buddha’s advice on achieving enlightenment, Einstein’s explanation of why faster than light travel would result in backward movement through time, and Dumbledore’s take on the whole Harry Potter series. Hopefully Dumbledore will bring his phoenix!
What is your most cherished childhood memory? Memories of Fuzzybutt, a cat I had when I was small. He was half Persian and half Manx so he didn’t have a tail, just a little fuzzy butt – hence the name.
If given complete freedom to start a fresh, what profession would you choose and why? That’s what I’m doing now: working in the nonprofit field is my fourth distinct career. I chose the nonprofit world because I need for my work to have meaning and I need to give something back to a world that has given me so much.
Occupations you wanted to be when you were a kid? Astronaut, surgeon.

What makes your angry? How do you overcome your anger? Discrimination, prejudice, and injustice in the world. I overcome my anger by supporting those who suffer from discrimination, working to educate myself about the nature of conflicts and ways to overcome them, and speaking out whenever possible to help enlighten others. I follow the motto “If you want peace, work for justice.”
If given a choice, which animal would you want to be? Why? A cat - specifically a pampered housecat that purrs, meditates and naps in the sun each day.
What is your favorite place on Earth? Myrtle Beach, South Carolina
What is your favorite quote? “Well-behaved women seldom make history.” - Laurel Thatcher Ulrich
Tell us something you have learned from a child. To be in the moment, to be fully present in what you are doing right now instead of thinking ahead to the next task.
If you could visit a time in history what would that be? 500 years in the future, to see how far humanity has traveled and how much it has learned and grown.
What do you want to be known for? Making history by creating positive social change to benefit the larger world.
