TRAINING:    Volunteers arrive early to The Conflict Center, receive a brief training/info packet, and are directed to their assigned garden.

VOLUNTEER BENEFITS:

Volunteers have a wonderful opportunity to meet new people, make new friends, learn gardening techniques, all the while benefitting their community through this very special event.

Volunteers will receive free admission to all gardens and, in addition, are welcome to join us at the after-party celebration, which will follow the tour.

ENCHANTED GARDENS OF NORTHWEST DENVER TOUR EVENT VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!

The garden tour, now in its 10th year, is The Conflict Center's largest annual fundraiser. The garden tour includes around 20 of the most interesting and impressive gardens throughout the northwest Denver neighborhood. Tour-goers purchase a ticket and receive a map, which directs them to all of the gardens included on the tour. We assign a minimum of one volunteer to each garden on the tour. Volunteers help greet guests, answer questions (though garden expertise is not a requirement of volunteers!), and check tickets. Volunteering for this event is low stress and fun!

WORKSHOP ON EARNED INCOME STRATEGIES

The Conflict Center will be hosting a three-day workshop on Earned Income Strategies, to be conducted by The Grantsmanship Center, a California-based firm which has provided fundraising training to nonprofits nationwide since 1972.  If you are involved in a nonprofit and wish to broaden your fundraising skills or develop a new funding strategy for your organization, this workshop may be for you.  More information will be coming in next month’s newsletter, or if you want more information now please visit
