Helen K. and Arthur E. Johnson Foundation Grant

Thank you to  the Helen K. and Arthur E. Johnson Foundation for awarding us a $25,000 grant this year.  The Johnson Foundation has been a faithful funder since 1998.  They helped fund our capital campaign in 1998 and 99, and they have continued funding our programs since.  The extra exciting news is that this year’s grant represents a $5000 increase over their previous level of $20,000, which had been our funding level for the past 4 years.

Harold Fields:

You are invited to a join us at The Conflict Center for a very thought provoking event to mark Conflict Resolution Month in Colorado.  Please join us as we host Harold Fields for a presentation and guided discussion of the book:

The New Jim Crow by Michelle Alexander

This book offers a timely and original framework for understanding our current prison system, its roots in Jim Crow, how this system continues to perpetuate huge racial disparity in our country today and what we must do to address this issue.
