The annual Enchanted Gardens of Northwest Denver Garden Tour has served as a primary fundraiser for TCC’s school programs since 2001.  This self-guided tour showcases around 20 public and private gardens from all around NW Denver.  Tour-goers may purchase their tickets in advance or on the day of the event at The Conflict Center, where they receive a ticket and map that guides them to all of the gardens.  People typically find they can walk to some of the gardens and need to drive to others.

In addition to the fundraising goal, the Garden Tour serves another purpose.  It builds relationship among neighbors and increases neighborhood pride.  Because an overall goal of TCC is violence prevention, we feel that a stronger neighborhood; one where neighbors know each other and look out for one another. We believe this will lead to a more peaceful and safer neighborhood.

This year the Garden Tour took place on Saturday, June 12th from 9:00 am  to 4:00 pm with an after-party from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the 23rd Ave Sculpture Studio. We celebrated the 10th Anniversary of this event this year! 

This year we had:

• Over 20 neighborhood gardens.
• New themes: urban farms, kid-friendly gardens, and as usual the xeriscape gardens
• This year our materials were available in Spanish
• Bike lending.  Bring your own bike, or borrow one of ours
• A HUGE Silent Auction in The Conflict Center’s Library. Items included gift certificates, art, and even a 50cc People Scooter.
• An after-party featured food, drinks; and live entertainment by Jen Lapinski (all included in garden tour ticket price!).
